Special Considerations During the Covid-19 Pandemic
At Unbridled Souls, we know how difficult this time has been for everyone. We truly admire the great strength we have seen in our community despite the many challenges that we have come to know in the wake of the Covid- 19 Pandemic. More than ever, we need to look after ourselves, our families and those around us. We care about our clients. It is important that you know that we are doing everything we can to ensure the safety and well being of everyone participating in our programming.
Unbridled Souls will remain up to date and within full compliance of the applicable Alberta Health Services’ (AHS) recommendations and directives regarding Covid-19. Additionally, when visiting clients off-site, particularly regarding congregate care settings, we will be adhering to the “Guidelines for COVID-19 Outbreak Prevention, Control and Management in Congregate Living Sites” as outlined by Alberta Health Services.

What we are asking you to do:
When booking a session:
Clients and supports will be asked Covid 19 screening questions. If you or anyone in your household has any of the Covid -19 symptoms, we would be happy to wait until you feel better to book with you on-site; however, online sessions are always an option and have been helpful for some.
When arriving for your session & during your stay:
Please remain in your vehicle and call when you arrive. The staff will ask Covid- 19 screening questions to everyone arriving on site. If you arrive and are exhibiting any of the Covid- 19 symptoms, your session will need to be rescheduled for everyone’s safety.
Clients may be asked to wear a mask and will sanitize their hands before entering any indoor spaces.
You will be given a choice between wearing gloves or sanitizing your hands before touching the animals.
We encourage you to take any extra precautions that would help make your time with us more comfortable.
What you should expect from US:
Before your session
We will ensure that the animals are clean and well-groomed.
We will wash or sanitize all equipment, including commonly used surfaces in indoor areas used during sessions. Further to this, each client working with the horses will have a sanitized grooming kit for use during their session. These kits will be fully sanitized before and after each use.
Upon your arrival & during your time at Unbridled Souls
Staff will ensure the use of hand sanitizer before, during and after the sessions with all clients and anyone visiting or supporting clients.
We will maintain 6-feet of distance to other individuals whenever possible and ask clients to do the same.
We will wear a cloth or medical mask during sessions when and where it may not be possible to maintain 6-feet of distance.
Sessions on site will be cancelled under the following conditions:
1) If US Staff or animal partners are experiencing any flu-like symptoms;
2) If US Staff have been exposed to COVID-19;
3) If anyone participating in sessions has any flu-like symptoms;
4) If there is any other reason that US staff believes may jeopardize any client, staff, or animal partner’s health, safety or well-being.
5) Should recommendations come forth from Alberta Health Services that suggest that it is unsafe to continue with in-person sessions.
6) If you have travelled outside of the country and have not completed any mandated self-isolation directives.
Sessions Cancelled for Covid-19 related reasons will not be charged!
